Regional Climate Week 2023
At APCW 2023, Lead for Earth advanced climate action through youth engagement, event organization, discussions, UN collaborations, and advocacy in high-level sessions, setting the stage for impactful contributions at COP 28 and beyond.
At the Asia Pacific Climate Week (APCW) 2023, Lead for Earth significantly contributed to the event, aligning with the goals of the upcoming COP 28 and the first Global Stocktake. Our key involvements included:
1. Youth Engagement: We led youth capacity building sessions and presented the Asia Pacific Youth Statement, highlighting young leaders’ perspectives in climate discussions.
2. Event Organization: We organized a notable event titled “Youth-Driven Resilience: Climate-Resilient Food Systems in Asia,” showcasing youth-led initiatives in sustainable food systems.
3. Participation in Discussions: Our team actively participated in sessions across various themes including energy, industry, infrastructure, and societal impacts, contributing valuable insights.
4. UN Collaborations: Engaging in bilateral talks with various UN bodies, we enhanced our collaborations, aligning our efforts with global sustainability goals.
5. Advocacy at High-Level Sessions: We advocated for sustainable climate solutions tailored to the Asia Pacific region, participating in policy dialogues and high-level sessions.
