This conference offered us an opportunity to showcase and share experiences, actions, and innovations aimed at building a resilient future for the region. We actively engaged in various consultations and represented strong civil society organization (CSO) involvement under the theme ‘From Crisis to Resilience: Transforming the Asia-Pacific Region’s Future through Disaster Risk Reduction’.

As the Asia-Pacific is the most disaster-prone region in the world, the conference provided a crucial platform to review efforts to prevent new and reduce existing risks, and for countries and organizations to make actionable commitments against the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.
